The CJ Lancer, Lancer Evolution VIII and IX, and the Legnum / Galant wagon all use a 5x114.3 stud pattern, and our customers run 18x8 +35 up to 18x9.5 +22 on them. The older CH Lancer and CE Mirage are four-stud cars, where customers run the old-school SpeedWorks SW08 15x8 +15. Check the stud count on your current wheels or your placard before you order.
Mitsubishi stud patterns and hub rings
Every SpeedWorks SW passenger wheel has a 73.1 mm centre bore, so a hub-centric ring is used to centre the wheel on a smaller hub.
| Model | Stud pattern | Hub ring (from 73.1) |
|---|---|---|
| Lancer CJ | 5x114.3 | 67.1 mm |
| Lancer Evolution VIII / IX | 5x114.3 | 67.1 mm |
| Legnum / Galant wagon | 5x114.3 | 67.1 mm |
| Lancer CH | 4-stud | Message us |
| Mirage coupe CE | 4x100 | Message us |
The 67.1 mm ring is available in both alloy and plastic. For the four-stud cars, message us and we will confirm the right ring, or choose the "Pick for me" option.

Lancer CJ: from mild to wide
The CJ is one of the most common cars we fit, and our customers cover the full range. For a mild, daily-friendly fit, a customer runs SW01 18x8 +38, a flow-formed wheel dual-drilled for 5x100 and 5x114.3, from $225 per wheel. For a wider, flusher look, two customers run 18x9.5 +22: one on SW10 in Hyper Silver and one, a black CJ, on SW12 (from $250 per wheel).
Going from an 8 inch +38 to a 9.5 inch +22 moves the outer face about 35 mm further out, because the extra 1.5 inches of width adds about 19 mm each side and the 16 mm drop in offset pushes the whole wheel out by another 16 mm. A setup like that may need guard work or a lowered ride height depending on the car, so ask us first. Run your own numbers in the wheel offset calculator.
Lancer Evolution: 18x8.5 +35
A customer's Evo VIII / IX runs SW14 18x8.5 +35 in Matte Gunmetal, a flow-formed wheel from $237.50 per wheel. The Evo has large factory Brembo brakes, so caliper clearance matters more than on a regular Lancer. Other 18 inch 5x114.3 wheels in our range match the stud pattern, such as SW15 18x8.5 +35 and SW16 18x8.5 +38, but offset, brake clearance and guard clearance still need to be checked for your car. Spoke shape makes a difference to caliper clearance, so send us your brake details if they have been upgraded.
Legnum and Galant wagon: 18x8 +35
A customer's Legnum / Galant wagon runs SW02 18x8 +35 on 5x114.3, a flow-formed wheel in Hyper Black and Machine Lip. It is a conservative size that keeps the wheel close to the factory position.
Lancer CH and Mirage CE: 15x8 old-school
The four-stud Lancer CH and Mirage coupe CE suit the SW08 15x8 +15, a deep-dish, old-school JDM style cast wheel drilled for both 4x100 and 4x114.3, from $212.50 per wheel. Both cars in our gallery run it. A 15x8 at +15 is a wide, low-offset wheel, so it may need guard work or a lowered ride height depending on the car. See more of these cars in the SW08 gallery.

Frequently asked questions
What stud pattern is a CJ Lancer?
The CJ Lancer is 5x114.3. With SpeedWorks SW wheels you will need 73.1 to 67.1 hub-centric rings.
Will 18x9.5 +22 fit a CJ Lancer?
Two of our customers run 18x9.5 +22 on CJ Lancers (SW10 and SW12). It is an aggressive fitment that may need guard work or a lowered ride height depending on the car, so ask us before ordering.
What wheels fit an Evo VIII or IX?
A customer's Evo VIII / IX runs SW14 18x8.5 +35 on 5x114.3. Other 5x114.3 wheels match the stud pattern, but check offset, brake clearance and guard clearance, as the Evo's brakes are larger than a standard Lancer's.
Do you have 15 inch wheels for a CH Lancer or Mirage?
Yes, the SW08 15x8 +15 is drilled for 4x100 and 4x114.3, and customers run it on a Lancer CH and a Mirage coupe CE. Message us to confirm the hub ring for your car.
