Nissan Skyline R33/R34, 350Z and Mazda RX-7 FD wheel fitment guide

The Nissan Skyline R33 and R34, the Nissan 350Z and the Mazda RX-7 FD all commonly run a 5x114.3 stud pattern, and 18x9.5 +22 is proven on customer cars of every one of them. Customer Skylines run the SpeedWorks SW12 and SW18, the 350Z runs SW10, SW05 (18x9.5 +35) and a staggered SW17, and an FD RX-7 runs the SW18 in Bronze. The main difference between them is the hub ring: 66.1 mm for the Nissans and 67.1 mm for the RX-7.

Nissan Skyline R33 and R34

Three customer Skylines run 18x9.5 +22. An R33 runs the SW18, a cast 10-spoke mesh in Bronze, from $250 per wheel. Another R33 and an R34 coupe run the SW12 10-spoke in Hyper Black. The SW12 also comes in Gloss White & Machine Lip in the same size.

Some R33 Skylines, particularly non-turbo models, may have a different stud pattern, so count your studs before ordering. Other wheels made in 5x114.3 18x9.5 +22 include SW10, SW14, SW15 and SW17; the size and offset match our customer Skylines, but check brake and guard clearance on your car.

Nissan 350Z

18x9.5 +22 and 18x9.5 +35

A customer 350Z runs the SW10 in 18x9.5 +22, Hyper Silver, from $225 per wheel. Another runs the SW05 in 18x9.5 +35, a cast wheel drilled for 5x100 and 5x114.3 in Hyper Black & Machine Lip, from $225 per wheel. The +35 sits about 13 mm further in than the +22 at both the face and the back of the wheel, so it is the tamer of the two at the guard but uses more inner clearance.

Staggered on the roadster

A customer 350Z Roadster runs the SW17, a cast retro 5-spoke with a deep lip, in 18x9.5 +22 front and 18x10.5 +22 rear, from $275 per wheel. The 10.5 rear sits about 13 mm further out at the face and 13 mm further in at the back than the 9.5. A staggered setup means you cannot rotate tyres front to rear.

If your car has factory or aftermarket big brakes, check caliper clearance against the spoke profile before fitting any wheel. Send us photos if you are unsure.

Mazda RX-7 FD

A customer's FD RX-7 runs the SW18 in 18x9.5 +22, Bronze. Because the FD hub is a different size to the Nissans, use a 73.1 to 67.1 mm hub-centric ring. Other 5x114.3 18x9.5 +22 wheels in our range match the stud pattern and the size of this build, but we do not have an FD on them yet, so check offset, brake clearance and guards first.

Will 18x9.5 +22 fit without guard work?

It depends on ride height, tyre size and the condition of the guards. 18x9.5 +22 is a fairly aggressive fit and may need guard work or a lowered ride height depending on the car; ask us with your setup. Compare it with your current wheels using our wheel offset calculator.

Hub rings, delivery and warranty

Hub-centric rings come in alloy or plastic, both in 66.1 and 67.1 mm inner sizes, or choose "Pick for me". SW wheels are sold per wheel and shipped in sets of four with free SpeedWorks centre caps. Delivery is tracked and insured. SW passenger wheels are rated to 690 kg each, certified JWL, VIA and AS1638, with a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and finish. For a one-off design, see SpeedWorks Forged, made to order in around 14-18 weeks.
