Sydney is the centre of drifting in New South Wales. Almost every regular drift day in the state runs at the Eastern Creek motorsport precinct, about 40 km west of the CBD, where the Australian Drift Club runs events at both Sydney Motorsport Park and Sydney Dragway.
Where to drift in NSW
Sydney Motorsport Park
The main drift venue in NSW. Drift events use the wet skid pan, the skid circuit and the South Circuit, depending on the format. It also hosts the invite-only International Drifting Cup at World Time Attack Challenge each year.
Sydney Dragway
Hosts the Australian Drift Club's night events: Friday Night Lights, drag and drift nights, and rounds of the club's SUPERDRIFT competition series. Entry follows the same ADC licence options.
Oakburn Park
The Tamworth Sporting Car Club has run drift practice days here, and the track hosted the Oakburn Park Matsuri in 2025.
One Raceway
Runs skid pan car-control sessions, which are good for learning to slide a car safely. They aren't drift practice days.

Getting on track
Depending on the event: a Motorsport Australia licence, an AASA licence or the club's own, and some also need club membership.
An approved helmet (AS1698 or better), long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes.
No leaks or loose items, a secured battery, and usually a fire extinguisher and marked tow points.
New to drifting? Start with a drift school, a skid pan session or a learn-to-drift day before an open practice day. Entry rules change, so always check the event page before you book.
